Cookie Policy
This Policy explains how Spacebrain Inc. uses cookies and similar browser storage on spacebrain.ai, what they do and how you control them. For our identity, contact details, wider data practices and your rights, read the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small records stored by your browser. We also use local storage, which can keep information until it is cleared, and tags that send permitted events to service providers. A cookie can remember a preference or identify the same browser across visits; it does not have to contain your name to relate to you.
2. Why we use them
Essential operation and preferences
We remember your privacy choice and use the storage needed for security and requested functionality. Preference records can be shared across spacebrain.ai subdomains so a choice can be respected during signup. They do not activate app analytics.
Optional website analytics
With your analytics permission, Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand page visits, navigation, interaction events and errors. They may process pseudonymous browser identifiers, page paths, timestamps and device information. Google Tag Manager delivers the Google tags. Website session recording is disabled.
Optional advertising measurement
With your advertising permission, we record campaign details and ad click identifiers and connect them to signup. Google may receive the click identifier and signup confirmation to measure our advertising. This measurement does not include your email address or workspace content. Ad personalization remains disabled.
3. What is stored and for how long
These are the first-party storage names and provider cookie families used by the website implementation. Optional records depend on your choices and the features loaded. Browser limits and provider configuration can shorten or change cookie lifetimes.
| Storage / provider | Purpose and choice | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
sb_privacy_v1Spacebrain | Essential preference record: analytics and advertising choices plus the time of the choice. | 180 days from saving a choice |
sb_ads_consentsb_signup_ads_consentSpacebrain | Preference records carrying an advertising grant or refusal into signup. A refusal is also remembered. | 180 days |
sb_attr_firstsb_attr_lastSpacebrain | Optional advertising attribution: campaign values, landing path, referrer origin and click identifiers when present. | First touch: 180 days Last touch: 90 days |
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics | Optional analytics: distinguish browsers and maintain session state. | Google’s default is 2 years; configuration and browser limits apply. |
ph_*PostHog | Optional analytics identifiers and event/session state in cookies and local storage. | SDK cookie default: 365 days. Local storage has no automatic browser expiry; it can be cleared. |
_gcl_*Google advertising tags | Optional advertising measurement when the corresponding tag is used. | Common conversion cookies use 90 days; the specific tag and browser determine expiry. |
Cookie expiry is different from server-side data retention. The Privacy Policy explains our retention criteria. See Google Analytics cookie information, Google advertising cookie information and PostHog’s privacy notice for provider details.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
Open Privacy settings in the website footer. Choose analytics and advertising separately, then save. Reject optional turns both off. Withdrawal stops future optional capture under that choice; it does not automatically erase information already received by a provider. Contact us to request deletion where applicable.
Global Privacy Control keeps optional website tracking off. You can also delete cookies and local storage or block them in your browser. Clearing preference storage may cause the website to ask again, and blocking essential storage can affect requested functions. Choices apply to the browser in which you make them.
The website popup does not appear in the signed-in app. App analytics preferences are separate account settings. Accepting the Terms of Service or acknowledging the Privacy Policy does not grant optional website tracking permission.
5. Updates and contact
We update this Policy when our website storage or purposes change and show the effective date above. We seek a new choice where a change requires consent. For questions or privacy requests, contact the Privacy Officer at [email protected].
